gut-loving pantry staples

eating well to support your gut health doesn’t have to be expensive and full of 'superfoods' you’ve got no idea what to do with. in fact, lots of beneficial foods for our gut health can be inexpensive and already inside your pantry.
so what makes a food gut-friendly you ask?
foods that are generally considered 'gut friendly' contain a beneficial nutrient or ingredient that promotes digestive health (like helping good bacteria and regulating bowel movements). but everyone's gut microbiome is different, so these foods will be different for everyone too. that's where our food diary comes in handy so you can keep track of what you're eating and how it makes you feel (it's part of our good gut health guide you can download below).
but with this in mind, it can be really beneficial to have a few pantry staples on hand so that you're always including gut healing foods in your diet on a daily basis or even multiple times a day.
here's some of our favourites:
- belly blends for gut-healing gelatin (get yours here)
- bone broth
- dairy substitutes (coconut, almond, oat, rice etc)
- gluten free flours
- good essential fats (coconut oil, nut butters, extra virgin olive oil)
- apple cider vinegar
- nuts & seeds
- spices (turmeric, cinnamon, chilli flakes)
- natural sweeteners (honey, rice malt, medjool dates)
how many are already in your pantry that you're already using?
